Evaluation on my Job Role (PPP)

Overview of my job role:

As a member of the Marketing, Publicity and Fundraising team, I had a number of different responsibilities. These were:
  • Creating the Poster
  • Creating a logo
  • Setting up fundraising events
  • The final poster
  • Promoting the Show
One of the first things I did towards my job role was creating a poster. Everyone in marketing had to create one, but mine was picked. I personally feel I did this successfully as most people really liked it. It included the correct information and the layout was clear. Also, the background was black and there was green and purple on the poster, so it stood out more. 
However, if I could, I would change a couple of things about it. The first would be the background. I would create one which represents the show more (for example: the dancers, eyes, hands etc). I would also make the logo writing more white as it came out a very light pink. As well as this, I would add the price of the tickets and make the information writing bigger.



The event
The next thing I inputted towards was the fundraising event. We decided to do a cake sale. I made cakes for the event, helped out and counted the money at the end. We managed to raise over £80, which meant it was successful.
Reflecting back to the fundraising section, there are a few things. First of all, I feel we should have done another event other than cake sales. This is because the majority of fundraising events are cakes sales, where as if we had done something related to our show or dancing (for example, dance battles or flashmob) we could have raised more money. It could have also helped us sell more tickets.


All social media accounts
The final thing I inputted towards was the promoting of the show. I helped create the social media accounts and the email address. I also sent the poster to the Front of House Manager, to put on the website. All these things helped promote the show more.
If I could change anything about how we promoted the show, I would have posted more in some of the social media accounts. Also, I think would should have contacted more people about our show (e.g. local newspapers) so that we publicised the show more.


Overall, I believe I completed my job role successful as I inputted a lot and helped to promote the show. Reflecting back to the process, I think there is still things I could have done to improve my job role, however I thought I did well and contributed to the best of my ability.
